Currently seeking New Director

Grand Traverse Show Chorus is currently seeking a new Musical Director!
We are searching for someone with a strong knowledge of Directing, preferably with 4-part Barbershop experience.
She/He must be willing to learn and grow with the Chorus, represent the Chorus in all aspects such as recruiting, member growth, teaching 4-part singing skills, be open to new ideas, work well with numerous personalities, be fair and kind but firm in discipline.
Be available to lead every Tuesday evening rehearsal (vacations and sick time are given), lead a monthly Music Team Meeting (via ZOOM), attend weekend regional events, coaching throughout the year, educational events and Annual Regional Competition.
This will be a paid position, a negotiable contract will be reviewed & signed yearly.
GTSC is preferably looking for someone who can make a long term commitment to the Chorus, but an Interim Director position may be possible.
We need a new leader with the drive and passion to teach and grow the Chorus to the best it can be, maintain our musical excellence and reach to higher levels each and every week!
